Per special request from Whitney Pillsbury (above), the new membership director at the Chris Craft Commander Club, here is a direct link to the Commander Club site posted right up front where it can be seen first!

This first link is to the CCCC active discussion list, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cccommander, and this second link is to the home page, http://www.commanderclub.com

Now, back to the heading of this post, "Why are these guys smiling"?

Chris Craft Commander Club webmaster (Von Hofsten, left) and Chris Craft Antique Boat Club Executive Director (Wright, right) looking every bit as though they just knocked off a bank job, are actually in their element, which is on the water chasing a couple Chris Craft Commanders.

We were out on Lake Michigan photographing Chris Craft Commanders one afternoon, and the expression on their faces says it all. I had an absolute ball spending some time with these two guys, but I got wet and then spent time on board a beautiful 42¡¦ Commander that had the AC turned down sooooo cold, I ended up catching cold (something I rarely do).

Here's a photo I took moments later, which appeared in Wilson's publication "the BRASS BELL"

Alarik is the new webmaster at the Commander Club and he's already had a big impact, Wilson is the Executive Director at the Chris Craft Antique Boat Club, and one of the true heavyweights of the global antique and classic boating world. both spend lots of their time promoting the Chris Craft legacy.

Alarik has a magnificent web site in Sweden, http://www.alarik.com/cc/Story.htm and he's recently used his internet and management skills to help upgrade the Commander Club, and their web site.

Wilson, on the other hand, has been in the antique and classic Chris Craft realm for many years, and he's recently upgraded his web site and publications immensely. Check it out! Here's the web site http://www.chris-craft.org, http://www.chris-craft.org/Brassb.html.

Chris Craft boating, it doesn't get much better than this, and in many instances, the people you meet are much more impressive than the boats.

If you haven't checked the new MASTER INDEX here on this forum lately, give it a try, I think you'll enjoy the format and the music too! http://www.network54.com/Forum/424840/message/1127924466

Let's go boating! See you on the water!?

Regards, Paul
